Verifications
Your platform checks email addresses, phone numbers and sign-in IPs to keep accounts genuine. The Verifications area is the audit trail of those checks — useful to understand why an address was accepted or rejected, or where a sign-in came from.
There are three sections, one per type — Email, Phone and IP — each with the same shape:
- Overview — summary figures for that type of verification.
- Search — find verification records (by address/number/IP, status, date,
consumer…).
- History — a dated log of every check, with the detail returned by the
verification service.
What each check looks at:
- Email — valid format, mail servers (MX/DNS), and whether the address is
disposable or a throwaway.
- Phone — number format and country/carrier information.
- IP — geolocation (country, region, city), the network/organisation, and
whether it looks like a proxy.
When verification actually happens depends on your security settings: email and phone verification are required of consumers only when you switch them on; IP information is recorded with sign-ins. This area lets you review the results after the fact — it doesn't change a consumer's status itself (you do that from the consumer record).
